Crowns are very strong, durable covers that fit snugly over the entire tooth to hide issues like broken teeth, deep discoloration, or large fillings, while also providing strength to the tooth structure. They’re often used on teeth that have had a root canal treatment to cover up the discoloration and to provide additional strength to the tooth, which may have been weakened by the removal of the interior pulp. They’re also used in bridge procedures to provide strength and protection to the teeth used to support a bridge.
Beautiful smiles start with innovative treatments, made in our laboratory on-site, Sevil Smile Studio offers Zirconia, Emax and Cerec Crown solutions. All our crowns can be quickly and conveniently applied in one visit. We will first prepare your teeth by removing a thin layer of the natural tooth structure. After preparing your tooth, we will use a special camera to take several 3D images of your tooth. The camera is smaller than the point of a ball pen and is comfortable. Using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) a digital 3D image of your tooth and crown with precise measurements is produced. A milling machine carves a replica of the design to make the crown. Then, once we have prepared your crown, we apply this to your tooth.
Prepared from a single block of zirconia and is resistant to fracture as well as wear and tear. We offer two types of Zirconia Crowns, solid and high translucent. Both of them will give you a precise fit, with solid being opaque it is more suited for back teeth and the translucent is more suited for front teeth.
Emax crowns are a popular choice to restore the front part of your teeth. Just like zirconia crowns, they match the natural look of your teeth almost perfectly, and most of the tooth structure can be preserved when fitting these types of crowns. Emax is an all-ceramic system that offers excellent aesthetics, durability, and strength.
Cerec crowns are a great option for restoring your looks quickly, as you can have your smile back in just a few hours. With a look and feel just like a real tooth, the ceramic material is matched to your tooth’s colour and the 3D imaging technology accurately fits the crown to your bite and gum line.
While crowns can last up to 15 years, the most important step you can take to ensure the longevity of your crown is to practice good oral hygiene. Keep your gums and teeth healthy by brushing with fluoride toothpaste twice a day and flossing daily. Have regular checkups and professional cleanings.
